The age of card games has begun. From Square Enix to Blizzard, anyone with an RGP universe it seems now has to have a card game to go with it. CD PROJEKT RED is no exception, and their card game taking place in the Witcher universe called Gwent is finally getting close to release. As of today we now know that Gwent will not just be multiplayer, but will have a long and creative campaign. And the first trailer for Thronebreaker is here. Also theres going to be a massive tournament for Gwent already.

Throughout the campaign, players will explore new and never-before-seen parts of The Witcher world, embark on thought-provoking quests, gather resources, as well as engage in custom-made story battles, which twist the game’s rules in wildly unexpected ways. GWENT: Thronebreaker will release this year on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. More information is available on playgwent.com.

Organized by CD PROJEKT RED, GWENT Masters invites players to compete across a brand new season-based mode and a variety of official and licensed tournaments for a spot in the grand finale of the series and the title of first ever GWENT World Champion.
