Telltale’s Batman and Guardian series are coming to switch (leak confirmed with product page)

Well its always down to the retailers to blow the cool announcements. It seems that a few retailers have listed the Telltale games Batman and Guardians of the Galaxy on their site for pre-order prior to any official announcement. The two episodic games received very good reviews from major games publications, and held up to Telltale’s hi standards of story telling. Images of both covers appear on the sites, but Telltale is being closed liped about the releases.

UK shop 365games and Russian store GameBuy seem to have leaked that they will be coming out. Several diffrent media outlets have reached out for comment but Telltale has not been forthcoming. Newegg also has a page up for the Guardian game, but no products listed.

Gamespot reached out for comment, and got in reply what I can only describe as a hilarious PR response from Telltale

“When asked for comment, a representative for Telltale reiterated to GameSpot that “Guardians of the Galaxy is slated to premiere digitally in 2017 on consoles, PC, and mobile devices,” but did not comment on the possibility of Telltale’s Batman game coming to Nintendo Switch.”

Sounds to me like they don’t want to confirm it because they had planned a large announcement, possibly for Gamescom, which takes place next weekend. But, unless those boxes are fake, and more than one site listing them would seem to suggest they aren’t, we can expect to see a porting of two of the most awesome story games out right for Switch this fall.
